kenneth macintosh is a well known canadian artist who specialises in landscapes of eastern canada.
Kenneth is a soft spoken 50-year old resident of the North Shore of the mainland of Nova Scotia. He studied painting professionally and pursued further studies under the artists: DeGarthe, Julius
Zarand; Donald Pentz; Henry Purdy; Tom Roach; Tom McKay, and Ann Meredith Berry.
His paintings have been widely admired for their freshness of vision, their clarity
of statement and bold use of colour. They have a particular ability to evoke subtle
emotional responses to the natural forces inherent in the pastoral and rustic scenes of Eastern Canada. These qualities have resulted in the widespread purchase and exhibition of his works all over Canada, the USA and abroad.
Ken works primarily in acrylics, but also in water colours.
